Hi. The product was as described and arrived earlier than expected. Unfortunately, did not worked as it should. I notified the seller, and they took several steps to fix the issue; finally, it was resolved in a satisfactory manner. Communication was prompt, respectful and very professional. I highly recommend this seller. Thank you.

great printer; reliable and economical to operate

The first one of these I had lasted 13 years. When it finally started to fail, I bought another one. It's been a very reliable printer for me, and I like that toner cartridges and toner refills and replacement drums are cheap. It's a tad tricky to set up under Linux, but eventually worked for me after (a) resetting network settings to factory default, (b) hooking it up to a network with a DHCP server, (c) booting the printer with the Ethernet plugged in, (d) waiting a few minutes, (e) printing a settings page and observing the IP address assigned, then (f) configuring the printer via Linux printer settngs.

  • The Brother HL-2270DW is the best low end printer that I found to date!

This has been one of our best printers. We purchased the printer so we could cut down on color costs as it only prints in monochrome. The quality is pretty good for the speed and lack of color. The printer has duplex and is wireless, but the features do stop there. But at the price I got it (Under $80), it is well worth it. I did donate $10 for computer software (handyprint) that makes any printer I have AirPrint compatible for use with my iPhone. To have that feature built in usually bumps up printer prices far beyond that. The only drawback is whichever system you set up for that must be running if you want to use that feature. The printer works consistently and so far I have no issues or jams to clear out. I only had it about a month with moderate use so far. Setup is ok for ...

  • reliable, low per-page cost

The biggest advantage of this printer is that cheap toner is available. Also, although the printer will stop working and insist that you replace the toner prematurely, it is easy to override this, and so get maximum use of the toner cartridge. Paper jams are rare. Print quality and speed are adequate, though probably you can do better if that's a priority. I purchased a printer with an A4 tray, and replaced it with the letter-size tray from my old printer. Same size tray, and I didn't have to change any settings to get it to recognize the new tray. The used printer I purchased had a static IP address. In order to get it to work on my home network, I had to reset to factory settings. Information on how to do this is on the web, and in the service manual.

  • Easy set-up, so far so good.

I dumped my one year old HP 8000 wireless inkjet when it became obvious it was going to cost me two hundred dollars a year for even minimum use. You can read my review on that pig's product page for more details. As with most users I have no expertise in wireless. Every time I add a device, it's plug-and-pray time. My network is run through an old Asus router which supports only WEP and WPA, not WPS. I don't know exactly what that means, other than that WPS apparently is a new standard which improves the installation process. My home network has slowly grown to inlude a W7 desktop, a Vista laptop, two other XP desktops (I never throw away old computers), one wireless adapter for my TV and bluray player, and one wireless printer. I have to say that this Brother printer was the easiest ...
