R.A Salvatore Tackles Star Wars Universe
My first review! Ok, I'm a big fan of the Star Wars novels and also of R.A Salvatore, so I was especially interested in Vector Prime. I'd say he did a fairly good job of both creating a new story and sticking to the previous mythology and character developments. Certainly not any worse than some of the previous authors. But also not quite nailing it, aka Timothy Zahn. The best thing he has going for him are the protagonists in the story, an Extra-Galactic race of tribal dudes who, instead of high tech evolution, have bred living organisms for their weapons, space travel and pretty much everything else. Most of the book was a good read, but I felt the ending was a bit flat. A little rushed perhaps. But overall definitely not a let down. The whole gang is featured in this ... My first review! The full Solo clan, Luke, Mara, Lando and the Droids. Also from checking my nifty Star Wars timeline, I believe this is the first novel in the New Jedi Order, taking place 25 ABY (after the battle of Yavin). In this novel we get to hear about some Jedi activity around the Galaxy. Kyp Durron makes a lengthy appearance in the novel as well. Again, overall a pretty good read and a job pretty well done by R.A. Salvatore. The story line continues in the next couple novels (Dark Tide) by Michael Stackpole.

Unbelievably awesome!
The NJO series mixes a little horror into the Star Wars universe. It is an amazing amalgamation of books by some of the leading authors in the genre that nevertheless transitions smoothly from book to book. In my humble opinion, this is the best of the expanded universe- on par with the Thrawn Trilogy. If you love Star Wars, this series is a must-read!

This is the first book in the new Jedi Order series, and it is the best book in all the Star Wars universe since the X-Wing series of books. With a new, and vicous enemy, new Jedi's, and the loss of a key figure from the original Star Wars Universe, it keeps you tightly wound from the first words until the last page. I can't wait to continue diving into this series to see what lies in wait for the New Republic and Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Mara, Jacen, Jaina, Anakin and the others.This is the first book in the new Jedi Order series, and it is the best book in all the Star Wars universe since the X-Wing series of books. Wow! What a way to start a new series. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. It was filled with non-stop action and suspense. This book gives you a first hand look at an alien species in the galaxy. This book moved R.A Salvatore up on my list of favorite star wars authors. This book is a must Read!
