Great activity tracker. The battery life is great. I think you could easily go a week between charges. The tracking features are very detailed, as well. Pulse tracking was easier on the battery life than I expected. I haven't used the music or Garmin Pay features. I like the two buttons on the side. Combined with the touch screen, accessing settings is quick and easy. I also think the Connect app is better than the apps offered from the other fitness tracker companies.

I've been Garmin enthusiast for a very long while. Prior to purchasing this very brand, I have owned four. One of the reasons for this unit was the feature, Sp02 measure. While I do not rely on it for medical use, it is so disappointing that it never measured over 93% even when I compare it to my Huawei Honor hand. It's so frustrating that I called Garmin tech support to report this malfunction and the agent wasn't even helpful. My aim for buying it is sadly defeated as such would not recommend it.

I own the Vivoactive 3 Music (VA3M). I was torn with upgrading to the Venu (same size as the VA3M) or the bigger Vivoactive 4. The screen PPI is the same as the the VA3M (282 PPI). I also own a few Samsung watches and really like the clarity compared to the trans-reflective display of my VA3M. After wearing my Galaxy Watch Active 2 and the VA3M for a few days (one on each arm), I soon realized that I prefer the always-on trans-reflective display better. I definitely like the fact that the VA3M connects to my cadence and speed sensors (Galaxy Watch does not). I also like the details of Garmin Connect over Samsung Health. All that said, I purchased the Vivoactive 4. Hands down, it is a great watch. The bigger size frame is perfect. The watch is extremely light (like the VA3M). Two buttons, far better than pressing the screen on the VA3M. The display, while it can't compare to the OLED displays for resolution, the clarity in direct light is excellent. Try cutting the grass with the screen always on - fantastic. It seems the movement to get the back light on (similar to the movement to activate the OLED screen on my Galaxy Watch) is far better, maybe a better accelerometer? If you are transitioning from an OLDE to a trans-reflective display, give the trans-reflective display a few weeks before making a decision that you like the OLED better. In theory, they are night and day, so you will want to get accustomed to the display. Finally, I am getting 8 days of battery live from the Vivoactive 4. Needless to say, my S3 Frontier and Galaxy Watch Active 2 are now up for sale.Read full review

Long battery without GPS. Music is too loud and can't lower using control on watch. The get moving alert is a great feature. The link to my phone is great, don't have to dig in my pocket. Glad I chose this phone plus the great price on Ebay.

I got Vivoactiv 4 not too long ago and I LOVE IT! This new version can also monitor my pulse while I swim which was not the case with Vivoactiv 3 which I also owned. I forgot Vivoactiv 3 on the charger during my trip to Europe last month, I was quite upset first when I realized that on the plane back to the US but in a weird way, I am actually glad it happened otherwise I would have never gotten the 4. What is also so cool about Vivoactiv 4 is that the screen stays on at all times which was not the case with Vivoactiv 3 and that was getting on my nerves a lot!!! It's a great price too for what you get. This watch is packed with features that you will use, yet not pay a premium price for it. The battery life is absolutely fantastic!!! If you don't activate the oxygen sensor, it will last you a week! Garmin nailed this one! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!Read full review
