Refreshing to watch!
The Waltons TV series is one of the most enjoyable series for my family to watch! It a nice change from all the violence, sexy,drugs etc that they show on TV these days! The episodes always have a great story with good family values of a time in history that no longer exists! Highly recommend this TV series.

I've been buying one season per month and have discovered that usually the pre-owned sets are better quality than the new unopened sets. Go figure. However, one thing the seller should have mentioned in the description, is the fact that this set of DVD's is not numbered, the individual discs have no numbers on them, to determine which disc has what episodes on them. I had to number them myself with a magic marker. Plus, neither side of disc # 4 will play. Very disappointing because I really wanted to watch those episodes again. All others do play so thus it's not my player. Nor do any of my other DVD's not play, so it has to be the disc itself. The Waltons help to teach values that in today's world somehow has changed
I bought this because I love the Waltons, and will eventually own all the seasons and specials. I watched this growing up, and still love to watch the Waltons. In my opinion, that was when television shows taught the viewers things as well. Today, a great deal of programs are crime dramas, horror movies, etc. I like the choice do not get me wrong, I just wish we had more things like the Waltons available for our children and grandkids to choose from to watch to help with their learning better values today instead of them occupying their time playing mobster type games of killing and cheating, zombie killing. Today's economy it takes both parents to work so there is less quality family time or the ability to be able to view what they are doing when we are away to help teach values. ... I bought this because I love the Waltons, and will eventually own all the seasons and specials. I watched this growing up, and still love to watch the Waltons. The Waltons - 4th Season
I seldom missed an episode of the Waltons until college and my work schedule got too hectic to keep up. I seldom got to see the show from season 4 to the end. Now I'll get to experience it as new. I dearly loved this series about a warm loving family and their struggles during the Great Depression. It gives me some idea of what things were like for my grandparents and parents as they were growing up during this era. Maybe it's just a sign that I'm getting older now myself, but looking back at how self-sufficient they had to be, it concerns me that this generation wouldn't have any idea how to survive like they did. From an entertainment perspective, of course it's a matter of taste. There is much to be learned about life and family values in The Waltons. For me, it's much like a warm ...
