    perfect every time

    i bought this last year and used it several times with great results. more features than the cheep ones. the only problem i had , the first time i used it, was getting the two units to talk to each other. Read the instructions!

    had to return the first one

    The company was really good about sending in a new replacement for the first unit that malfunctioned. So, I tested the next unit by putting it under my tongue and it registered 98 degrees. I suspect it will be OK with monitoring heat on meat cooking.

    I wish it had a longer life...

    This is a fantastic device for cooking meat, poultry and fish. WE don't have kids, and handle this, knowing it's fragile. No matter how delicate we treat this, I bought 4 so far within 2 years, because they break within 6-8 months. When it works, it always ensures your food will be cooked to perfection, just frustrating that it won't last us a year or more.

    Works sometimes!

    I have used it twice, 1st time it took 10 or 15 minutes to get the wireless working. The next time it was used, the wireless had a hard time connecting again. Then, I had to keep the units together as it would drop its connection. I was not able to go 10' from the remote. It's a nice unit, just wish the wireless was a lot better and would hold a connection.
