Opposites attract in the directorial debut of screenwriter Marc Lawrence. Determined activist, lawyer, and idealist Lucy Kelson (Sandra Bullock) has a noble reason for accepting a top position at Wade Realty Corporation. By taking the job, she can save the beloved community center in her Coney Island neighborhood. Along with the job comes the position of personal advisor to her high-maintenance boss, George Wade (Hugh Grant). As the two work together, down-to-earth Lucy becomes utterly indispensable to millionaire playboy George, so much so that he seeks her advice on everything from stationery selection to his divorce settlement to what suit he should wear. When Lucy gives her two weeks notice and realizes that her potential replacement, June Carter (Alicia Witt), has some strong chemistry with George, she has to acknowledge her own romantic feelings for her boss. Likewise, faced with losing the person he relies upon most, George is forced to do some soul searching of his own. Grant is well-cast as freewheeling George, delivering his lines with subtlety and making a potentially irritating character likable and charming. TWO WEEKS NOTICE also stars Dana Ivey and Robert Klein as Lucy's parents.

Awesome Movie, not deep, but loads of fun and laughter! Great Actors!
I bought this movie since I figured I could not go wrong with Ms. Bullock and Mr. Grant leading the way! I was right! They were fabulous! The movie has humor and such joy ... you will smile all the way through it. Although the ending is predictable -- it still gives you chills to see it. It maybe called a chick flick by some but I think a romantic guy might also enjoy this film! Well worth an evening at home -- Sooooo get the pop-corn out and watch the best of the best & live a little with them! A great Girls night out to! Awesome Movie, not deep, similar movies have been made, but the actors carry this and complete it with grace!I bought this movie since I figured I could not go wrong with Ms. Bullock and Mr. Grant leading the way! The movie two weeks notice is really funny and lighthearted with no bad things in it. There are many funny lines. It is a good love story.

Two Weeks Notice Delivers the Laughs
A fan of romantic comedies, this movie pits the needs of superwealthy corporate interests and its "face of the company' (Hugh Grant) vs his superconscientious, community-activist lawyer and employee (Sandra Bullock). The result is magic. Hugh is great as the articulate, but self-deprecating corporate officer and Sandra is wonderful (as usual) as the lawyer who "saves" him from himself. A perfect little movie and one that I just had to have.
