    Great Value for Exploring 35mm Photography

    If you want to try 35mm wetfilm and have to buy a camera to do so then there will be all the "popular or fashionable models" with matching prices but this is a cheaper and great value for money option typically selling for a quarter of the price of those, sometimes even less. Apart from a body you will need a Canon EF lens or that could be a Sigma EF fit and probably a new battery, these are not rechargable - 2CR5 and readily available in various brands. If you are comfortable with using a modern DSLR or Mirrorless equaivalent, it won't take you long to get comfortable with using the EOS 600/630 camera as far as the basic controls are concerned. If you can get hold of a copy of the original manual, you may be surprised at just how many other non obvious functions it has too.

    Canon EOS 600 35mm Film Camera

    This is a solid, dependable, almost indestructible workhorse of a camera. Maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 sec and it's capable of taking up to 5 shots/sec. (though you need a solid tripod or arms like the hulk to shoot 5fps). The EOS 600 may not have quite as many functions as say an EOS 1 or 5, but as it will cost you about 1/5th of the price of the other models, it represents great value for money. I now own 3 of them, 2 of which I use for shooting regularly and a third which I keep at home as a back-up; just in case I should ever lose one while out and about. The camera can auto-focus using any Canon EF lens (though not EF-S) and is compatible with lenses from a number of other manufacturer; some I have used or own include lenses from Sigma, Tokina, Vivitar and Cosina, though others I'm ...

    Canon EOS 600 Film Camera

    Simple, reliable, sturdy, comfortable, good looking and cheap! It will take any EF lens (no EF-S) and the 6 segment metering system will never let you down! On top of all you have a depth of field button and 5 fps that will eat a whole film in seconds! The flash sync is 125 and top shutter speed is 2000. If you need higher shutter speed and flash sync at 250 you need to go for the EOS 620 although the auto focus is a lot slower and it is only 3 fps compare to 5 fps with EOS 600. Before you buy you need to know that all these cameras do suffer from the black like glue greasy residue on its metal shutters! If you do not know how to fix it DO NOT BUY!!! Do not pay more than a few quit for it as it might look good from outside even the shutter itself but as soon as you fire it at 5 fps the ...

    A camera of value.

    I have found this camera a very good camera , it does everything that I want it to do. It is easy to use and it is light enough to carry around, I enjoy using it.

    suffer a common proble of sticky shutter - check carefuly or avoid

    I bought this camera to experiment with film photography along side my digital EOS 600D and shared lenses. Unfortunately it was faulty with a common problem on this model of a sticky shutter. I would avoid this model unless it has been tested at a high shutter speed and examined to make sure there is no residue on the shutter, easily checked by opening the film cover
