Since first rolling onto PlayStations in 1999, the Tony Hawk skateboarding titles have lead the way for an entire subgenre of "extreme sports" video gaming. American Wasteland is designed to pull away from the pack, by offering a wide selection of customization choices and bringing its environments to life with new technology. American Wasteland's highest scoring trick is probably its sprawling, freely roamed game world, which is the size of a virtual metropolis, and can be traversed and explored from one end to the other with no breaks or load times.<br><br>Set in the "birthplace of skate culture," Los Angeles, CA, American Wasteland features trick-heavy challenges in a Grand Theft Auto-styled urban playground, through which players can travel anywhere and choose from (or ignore!) numerous story- and side-missions they find along the way. For the first time in a Tony Hawk game, players can choose to ride BMX bikes throughout the entire adventure, but there are plenty of new tricks available for veteran boarders as well.

The Nintendo expansion pack it works, I don't know is this normal I need to wait the expansion pack to heat up just like a car but I need to wait around thirty minutes or in one hour to be available to work, if I don't wait, the game crashes. The bottom of expansion pack has rust that's my only complaint I am aware is used but when you sell something you need to show more pictures the important part of the article.

The expansion pak pins are clean free from any dirt or debree in the photos provided, the board is also inspected before being shipped since its only a few screws to disassemble and reassemble. Also goes through testing stage. Unfortunately there are circumstances where "it couldn't possibly be a problem with my console". Returns are always free would be more than happy to show you on a perfectly functional console and game. Hope this helps!

Great but not the best!
Tony Hawk's American Wastland is a great game. It isn't my favorite Tony Hawk game. It's just like the rest. The graphics are the same, the story mode isn't much different from the underground series. American Wastland has a lot of first for the Tony Hawk series however. No Loading screens, tricks and characters. If you are looking for a fun skateboarding game, I would suggest getting Tony Hawks Underground 2. Best Tony Hawk on the 360.
This is my all time favorite game from my favorite series! That doesn't mean the game is great in general however. To start off the graphics and character/setting animations are a joke, I know it was 2005 but this is for a next gen console they couldn't done way better in this category. The soundtrack was awesome and definitely deserved IGN's best soundtrack of 2006 with great bands like Green Day, The Bravery, Fall out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Rise Against, and many others you'll definitely be entertained while playing this great game. The story was really good for a Tony Hawk game it was surprisingly long and made sense. A lot of the missions were extremely easy for us veteran Tony Hawk players but some offered some challenge. Classic mode brought back memories of past Tony Hawk games ... This is my all time favorite game from my favorite series! That doesn't mean the game is great in general however. Overall it's a great game that will keep you playing for hours, unless of course you get an RROD :( !

solid xtreme sports gameplay on the new console....
This game is solid. Everyone knows the tony hawk franchise, gameplay, controls, etc. So it is easy to adapt to. You can customize your character with tattoos, clothes, hairstyles, and skate gear. This is basically Tony Hawk's underground with better graphics. It's worth the money, a definite solid title.

The Best of the Bunch!
American Wasteland is the best of the Tony Hawk's Underground series. I had it for PS2 and I just had to get it again when I switched to the Xbox 360. The story line is awesome and the characters are really unique. It is a BIG game with many things to do. The addition of the bicycle was pretty cool. The soundtrack is absolutely awesome! Many of the tasks are very easy, while others will challenge even seasoned players. if you are an achievement hunter you will enjoy this game as well. Some of the achievement are very easy and worth quite a few gamer points. Overall I recommend this game to everyone.
