Portant sur un large echantillonnage de langues, les contributions a la Journee Scientifique de la Societe de Linguistique de Paris du 24 janvier 2004 rassemblees ici explorent les conditions d'emploi des ces constructions et leur place dans le systeme de ces langues en fonction de leurs caracteres typologiques. Apres avoir defini la question en termes de typologie (A. Lemarechal, A. Ibrahim), les contributions centrales portent sur des langues et familles de langues favorisant l'expression averbale de la fonction predicative, le turc (M.P. Gunduz), le basque (D. Bottineau), le japonais (D. Klingler) ainsi que les langues dravidiennes (A. Murugaiyan & C. Pilot-Raichoor) et oceaniennes (A. Francois). Enfin l'attention est portee sur la place de la predication verbale dans deux langues a couple, l'allemand et le francais (I. Behr & F. lefeuvre), et sur le procede de predication denominale en francais (J. Francois).
