    Safe and Easy to use. It meets the need for good information storage.

    This is not the first time that I have set up an external Hard Drive but it is the first time that I have done so for my own personal computer and planned to use it for a document source rather than a "back-up" device. This unit was very easy to setup and use immediately out of the box. It meets all my expectations and it is performing beautifully as intended. We have a small business that requires a great deal of number crunching and official documentation. Transfering our daily information to this device has proven to be safe and reliable. I would heartily endorse this unit to those who are looking for a safe place to keep your information and yet a place that you can access easily for retrieval of that information.

    Product is Fair for the Price, Slow startup

    A good storage for you backup files. But do not be surprised when file transfer times are extremely slower than your regular internal sata drive. Also I'm running a fairly fast computer. Since adding the drive, bringing up MY COMPUTER takes much longer, slower access to see files on drive. Also check with seller on refurbished drives that claim there is 6 months mfg warranty. 6 months was from the time they got the drive. Mine had around 2 1/2 months of warranty... eek.

    Great external Hard Drive you won't need any more space!!!!!

    Great external Hard Drive specially for the price. This is not a true portable HD since it needs electric current, but for being 1.5tb it is verry light and obviously huge space. This HD is the perfect accesory for a laptop and desktop for home use. Great speed and simple to use.

    Western Digital reliability at a good price

    This is the 3rd Western Digital Elements External Drive I've purchased and so far I've had no problems. It's not a super fast drive but it gets the job done. My other 2 are about a year old and have never had any errors. I think reliability is just as important as speed.

    Awesome product, I love WD!

    I bought this product for myself because my laptop has only 700gb which isn't a lot for what I work on so this was perfect. My only complaint is the when I'm copying files to it, sometimes the process ruins my copied files and I have to recopy. this has happened about 6 times now and it's only been a week. Other than that, it's pretty reliable.
