    Firefly the Series - Josh Whedon

    This is Josh Whedon's classic series that the network cancelled and the fans would not let die. The characters are as near to perfectly cast as any show I've ever seen. Humor, adventure, excitement, mysterious characters and of course ongoing love stories keep you on the hook. When the network cancelled the show the fans bombarded the producers with complaints. Josh had plans to run the series for at least three years and make a movie if it survived. The fans raised over a million dollars and Josh made the classic thriller "Serenity". The Firefly series is a great lead-in to the film or just as good if you've only seen the movie. This is a great series that should have lasted a lot longer, I really love the characters and feel it needed another year to really catch fire. Four of the stars ...

    One of the greatest shows ever cancelled in the first season.

    Great combination of old school TV genres: part SciFi and part western. Surprisingly good writing, story development and character development. Great performances from veteran Ron Harris and a largely inexperienced cast that went on to substantial success (Nathan Fillion, Morena Baccarin, Summer Glau, Gina Torres). Another winner from Joss Whedon. Another failure by Fox in cancelling so early. Absolutely a must own.

    TBBT to FIREFLY

    I only knew of FIREFLY to the numerous references made in my fave TV comedy The Big Bang Theory. Their passion for FF led me to search for the DVD. For a low budget production, one that seeks to walk the line 'tween comedy and action, it was quite successful and was finding it's true voice and tempo as a show when it was cancelled. A Season 2 would have been a leap beyond. Sad loss in entertainment that it cancelled prematurely.

    My favorite series

    If you have never seen this show, you are in for a treat and you will know why there is a cult following even after all these years since it was cancelled. Nathan Fillion leads a great cast of charcters in this almost space oater. It is exciting, funny, serious the most entertaining scifi series ever on TV. Take a chance and buy it, you will love it.

    Best Sci-Fi EVER!!

    Nathan Fillion and company are amazing!! Maybe the best science fiction series ever!! Too bad it was cancelled before all the sci-fi nuts caught on. If you liked Nathan Fillion as Malcolm Reynolds, you should watch the TV show Castle. He is just as good in that role!!
