    7 speed upgrade

    Excellent upgrade if you want to slap bigger cogs on your old 7 speed. If you have a short cage derailleur, Shimano recommends no more than 28T cog. Even though it may perform fine, it still may put too much stress on it. Most of my bicycles are getting medium or long cage derailleurs for larger cogs to spin uphill.
