About this product

Product Information

The Vivitar Classic 4x30 binocular with 4x magnification, allows you to have a closer look at the object. Having a porro prism optical construction, this Vivitar binocular provides a sharp and wide view of the scene. Since its exit pupil is at 7.5mm, this optical instrument offers bright vision even in low light conditions. With 241 ft at 1000 yards field of view, this Vivitar binocular enables a better viewing of a moving object. Multi-coated optics of the Vivitar Classic 4x30 reduce light deflection, thereby giving a brighter picture. The center-wheel focus of this optical instrument, with optical vision alteration, provides for vision divergences.

What I expected for the low price

I bought these for my grandson to use in his treehouse. They are perfect for that and they were so inexpensive that it won't matter if they are lost or broken. Made well but not good for any serious adult use.

  • vivitar classic 4X30 Binocular

I bought the Vivitar 4X30 Binoculars a couple of weeks ago as a gift for a friend's young son. What surprised me was the no-nonsense design and the sturdy yet not heavy feel of the unit. The magnification is really not enough for serious users, but as a adjunct to "pretend-spy", "army", and other uses for a nine-year-old, they are more than adequate. They have enough power to make parades, plays, sporting events, etc. closer for a younger person, yet are wide angle enough to allow casual handling so you don't need a tripod or support to work (like some of MINE) properly. They are a good "starter" for a youngster or for someone who just wants to be "a little closer" without costing an arm or leg.

  • Vivitzar Classic 4x30 Binocular - a pair of them

I bought the Vivitar Classic 4x30 Binoculars because I plan a trip soon to the Gulf Coast to birdwatch. However, this binocular didn't work for me because the lens is not adjustable. I have had three operations on one of my eyes, thus losing quality of sight in that eye, and I need adjustable lenses in binoculars. I do not consider myself up to rating these binoculars because I don't know how I could judge them rating-wise. But since you insist that I give them a rating, I have rated them average. I thought it kind of strange to get two binoculars. However, I gave a pair of binoculars to each of my grandson for a present, and they seemed pleased, nonplussed but nevertheless pleased. I usually give them Barnes and Noble gift certificates, so they may be thinking I stepped up the pace ...

  • Vivitar Classic 4x30 Binocular

I purchased 4 Vivitar Classic 4x30 Binoculars as Christmas gifts for 4 of my 5 grandsons. These little fellows are full of curiosity. Three of the boys were going on a Christmas road trip to visit their Aunt, Uncle + 2 girl cousins in Colorado. I thought that these binoculars would be just the thing for them as they traveled. They would be driving from Louisiana to Colorado, and, much of the trip would be across country they had never seen before. I wanted them to see that country close up. There were plains, tumble weeds, wind turbines, the Capulin Volcano, mountains, snow, deer, antelope, and who knows what else out there. One of the boys had previously stayed in a 28 story hotel and entertained himself looking out the window with binoculars. These binoculars were small in size, ...

  • OK For The Price

A good product for the price. As usual, you get what you pay for. People complain about poor quality, just a toy, can't focus each lens separately, low magnification, etc. What do you expect for $10? A $200 pair of high class binoculars? The binoculars are perfect for what I bought them for, playthings for my 2 and 4 year old grandchildren. I gave them to the kids for Christmas and they loved them. Mission accomplished.
