ROCK HUDSON, DORIS DAY UND TONY RANDALL LASSEN IN DIESER UNWIDERSTHLICHEN ROMANTISCHEN KOMÖDIE (DIE DAY UND Hudson ALS RIVALISIERENDE WERBEEXPERTEN VON DER MAIDISON AVENUE ZEIGT) DIE LEINWAND ERSTRAHLEN ... EIN FILMSPASS MIT VIEL KLASSE, DER MIT EINER OSCAR NOMINIERUNG ALS "BESTES DREHBUCH" AUSGEZEICHNET WURDE! If light hearted comedy is your ideal then I suggest ALL Doris Day and Rock Hudson movies. Clever dialogue with beautiful actors. Clothing, furnishings and correct usage of the English language make this a perfect picture. It does not get any better than this.
This is comedy! Whenever you pair Doris Day with Rock Hudson expect it to be very funny! I really loved Tony Randall....he always played second fiddle in most movies but he was a great actor. My favorite part of the movie was when she decides to give herself to Rock at this hide-a-way and then discovers who he really is. Then the fun starts with Rock passing out the sought after "VIP" candies, which are pure alcohol, except nobody knows that. He and Doris end up married, being stoned out of their minds at the time, and she finds herself in a motel room with Rock the next morning and he is flashing a "just married" paper in front of her to tell her it is alright. A laugh out loud scene follows when the two maids outside hear their loud argument and think Doris is a terrified innocent bride. Just some wonderful dialogue and of course Ms. Day is always dressed to the "T." Very funny and fast moving. One of the Doris and Rock movies that shouldn't be missedRead full review
PLOT: HUDSON AND DAY ARE BOTH advertising executives who will do about anything to sell their ideas~ Hudson uses sex and pretty ladies to sell his "ideas" to the mostly male client~ THE CLASSIC SEX SELLS IS HIS MOTTO~ lol in comes prim and proper Doris Day who is disgusted with the hired lady "bribes" and turns Hudson on a morals charge~ he bluffs his way out of it but decides to get even and assumes the WIMPY goody "scientist" who is working on VIP a totally NON existent product Day wants badly to sell~ ah the mouse (Day took the bait) but now HUDSON has fallen for Day who has no idea the sweet man she has fallen for is the sleazy womanizer she HATES~ this is fun but not nearly as good as PILLOW TALK~ BUT Day and Hudson are clever AND funny and carry this plot off~ I GIVE IT A SOLID 8 OUT OF 10 FOR ROMANCE BATTLE OF THE SEXS FUN~ IF YOU HAVE FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE~Read full review

Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
Rock Hudson, Doris Day, and Tony Randall are perfect together. This corny comedy is just fun. It has great dialog and it's attempt to be racy and push the "sex" evelope is so "not shocking" by today's standards that it is even funnier. Cornball ... yes. Dated ... yes. Fun ... Definitely. Opinion: Never buy anything from dvdlegacy.com I received a damaged dvd and no satisfaction. If you want the details, send me an email at stillchugn@gmail.com
