    Works great

    This works great as well as the other big ones. None of the pads heat the glass up past a 1/4 inch of the the pad itself. Only area that will be heated is the pad. Some say it will heat a whole panle, no it wont. It does give great under the tank heat. Using on the side is wasted money. God bless and enjoy

    Keep it dry

    These are the best tank heaters where sand, water or other high density, thermally conductive substrates are used inside the tank while these are mounted on the outside. Bark or other loose substrate won’t provide enough spreading and the heater can crack the glass or fail due to the heat being so concentrated in a small area. Never let the pad to get wet as the nichrome wire inside will fail.
