Quite Pleased With a Really Good Hair Dryer
This hair dryer is oh-so-expensive, at least for someone like me who's on a fixed income. I didn't really like writing anything negative, but I thought it necessary to put that first, especially because of all the hoopla from The New York Times, raving about how light it is, etc. It's no lighter than my original hair dryer. May as well go on with another small "negative" I just thought about... I keep unintentionally tapping on the COLD button, because it's right there where I'm holding the dryer. I know I'll get used to positioning my hand and fingers better. Now onto the good, positive things. I love the cord length! I can really work with seeing the back of my head because of the additional length, so I appreciate this nice surprise. As for performance, the dryer has good ... As for performance, the dryer has good options as to warm-to-hot and high-to-low speeds, which I find particularly necessary with my most unusual hair style, which is now short, but a million different lengths (maybe slightly like a "shag"?), and now gives me the ability to try some different angles, if you will, with my hair. The sound is quieter, and that's a big deal, since I don't miss any incoming phone calls. According to the company -- whom I called to ask a question about this hair dryer -- it turns out that, based on the numbers on the plug-in part, I have a really old model, sold to me, "as new," by an online dealer, and not Rusk directly. But I still will have the same two-year guarantee as long as I hang onto the receipt and -- oh, I just forgot, but I have both requirements written down, so I'm cool. Nice rep and good company! If you have the money to spend, go for this RUSK Engineering W8less Professional 2000 Watt Dryer. You won't be in the least bit disappointed, of that I can be sure!

Needs a "medium" setting
High and and low speeds work great but it could really use a medium speed and heat setting in my opinion. I'd give it 3.5 starts if I could because it's better than just okay.

The best hairdryer!!!
This is the best hair dryer. It is also the 2nd time I purchased this particular brand and model. The first one lasted 12, yesI 12 years !! It works great and 2000 watts of power really cut my drying and styling time. I have thick, naturally quite curly hair. I blow dry it straight in a short time. The only suggestion I would make to the manufacturer would be to make a stronger on off switch as it wears out over time. Lucky for me my husband was able to replace the switch for me which is why I had my first rusk hairdryer for sooo long. The motor in these is fantastic.Again, my first one lasted 12 years. Do t water your money on the other salon hsir dryers. This is the best as far as I'm concerned. This is the best hair dryer. It is also the 2nd time I purchased this particular brand and model. Great dryer !!! I couldn't pass on the good deal on ebay. This is my backup hair dryer. My original dryer has lasted for several years and no problems. This is without doubt the best that i have ever used !! If you need a new dryer or just one for backup , you will not be disappointed. It is not only light weight , but dries your hair fast and leaves it feeling manageable never limp and flyaway. I highly recommend it 👌 Great dryer !!! I couldn't pass on the good deal on ebay. This is my backup hair dryer. My original dryer has lasted for several years and no problems. This is without doubt the best that i have ever used !! This hair dryer is exactly as described-high wind power, lightweight, normal noise. It’s not a quiet one but not loud either. The air flow attachment stays on better than I thought from the reviews but may fall off if you hit it with brush by accident. I debated about a number of other dryers-including shark and dyson -I know they are good but I’ve had too many people say they’re not worth the $500 price. That being said, people (especially stylists) love it. I’ve tried baby bliss, conair, T3, head candy, Hanna and dry bar. I’ve used a Dyson once and it’s cool—light, quiet but I can’t say my hair looked any better or dried faster than some of above and definitely not faster than Rusk.This hair dryer is exactly as described-high wind power, lightweight, normal noise.
