  • Change of heart

I was 16 when this comic was released. I was never into comic books and figured it was some marketing stunt. I was also raised on the Christopher Reeves Superman (with some b&w George Reeves for good measure). So, basically I didn't want to read the comic that killed the man of steel. Then Superman Returns (the movie) came out. I was ready to go see it, heck it was Superman, hate it, tear it apart, come up with a million reasons that this new kid, Brandon Routh, should never have been cast and why the movie generally sucked. Saw it. Loved it. Was blown away by how much the spirit of Superman came through in the movie. AND it was very intelligent. So I came home. Got on the internet and did a little research into the history of Superman. Obviously, his death was a ...

  • The death of Superman

Truly a collectable. Which Superman comic will you remember the most? I wouldn't call it the best comic book ever, I am not a comic book junkie. But those who injoy comics for its art and creativity, this is. Superman is the most perfect, toughest, most unpenatrable superhero of all times, so his destruction is simply an unpresidented event. That is what makes it creative. I'm not sure what the story is behind Doomsday. I have heard from rumors that he was created by Lex Luther out of Superman's DNA and Kryptonite. He just shows up without warning, reason, or background; beats the #$%^ out of the whole Justice League; and kills Superman. That is just art. Sorry for anyone who doesn't like such things just for the gore. Oh yeah, PLENTY OF GORE!!!

  • My kids loved it!
