Pretty good retention. It fits a few different p320 models. I have an x-carry and it leaves about a half inch gap to the end of the holster when seated firmly. Paddle seems solid. With a good belt, it should work as intended.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR A LARGE DOG. While it is almost as described, the "non slip" surface is very slippery, the rubber pads that provide a tiny bit of traction are not on each step and it is too narrow at 16 inches wide for a large dog! My Lab is very obedient, she hates going up and down this thing because she just cannot get enough traction under foot to be comfortable. I am going to try gluing carpet on each step to improve that situation. AS ADVERTISED and might be ok for a small dog.
