Decent phone.
I just bought the house I'm living in, and there is only one phone line in the whole house that works, because when they built an addition to this house, the idiot contractor buried the telephone box in cement. Had to get a new box installed, and so far have only one port working, and it's at one end of the house because that's where the solar panels computer hookup is at, so that's where the modem, and phone connections are. I had an old Panasonic unit with 3 phones, but wanted another one, in the living room, and since the old one was several years old, I couldn't get another satellite receiver for it. So at the price, I figured this one would by okay until I wired the the rest of the house.
I was surprised at the reception I got. I can't even get a WiFi connection in the master bedroom in this house, but at the same distance from the modem, and phone connection the phone was getting full signal. In fact I live on an acre of land, and was able to get a good connection at all 4 corners of the property.
I noticed in some reviews people said they weren't getting good reception at distance, but I'm having no problems with reception.
At 70, my hearing is starting to go, and while I wish they would make the base unit with a bigger speaker, I had no trouble hearing on the satellite units.
For the price; this is a good unit. I also like the battery backup feature. My old unit was strictly wireless, while this is a land line unit, with wireless. So if the power goes off, and the phone line are still working, you can still call.
