About this product

Product Information

Harold Ramis's directorial debut is a hysterical farce set at the typically hoity-toity Bushwood County club. A send-up of the typical class struggle, it pits the caddies against the establishment with riotous results. This wacky comedy features insanely funny performances from Bill Murray, as the local groundskeeper obsessed with killing off the gophers who are infesting the golf course, as well as Chevy Chase as a wealthy antiestablishment member of Bushwood and Rodney Dangerfield, who shines as a land-shark real estate mogul who couldn't care less about the rules and regulations at the snobby club.

    Greatest golf movie ever!

Okay, it is not really a golf movie. It is really a comedy set on a golf course. But, it is the funniest movie with a golf motif I have ever seen. I loved it when it was first released and I love equally as much today. The cast is superb and Rodney Dangerfield was never better!

  • Caddyshack (DVD, 2007)

Very funny Rodney Dangerfield movie about a snobbish country club, BUSHWOOD, with a typical membership of the very wealthy, in fact so wealthy that you can't afford to get in, kind of membership. There are also the eccentrics. Chevy Chase as a kooky antiestablishment type who lost his mind somewhere after he made his twentieth million. The Judge who cheats on his golf score, all of the caddies who struggle to have sex with the dining room servers, or kiss ass to get a college scholarship etc. There is Bill Murray, the groundskeeper who is drug wasted all of the time. He is in a constant battle with a gopher that is smarter than him. In comes Rodney Dangerfield who has more money than God. He is rude, crude, and totally dedicated to having fun, acting crazy, and wheeler-dealing. He does ...

  • my favorite movie

A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

  • Caddyshack (DVD, 2007, 20th Anniversary Edition)

This is my answer to watching Golf on Saturday Afternoon!!!! It has an ALL STAR CAST including: Bill Murray as "Karl the Assistant Head Grounds Keeper" trying to get that Gopher. Chevy Chase has 4 lumber yards but doesn't know where they are. And of coarse Rodney Dangerfields famous line "Hey Judge my Dingy is Bigger than Your Hole Boat!" Blu-ray just makes it BETTER!!!!!!

  • a classic

Does a movie like this really need a review? If you like comedies, well this is a classic. The cast is loaded with comical performances which has made this such an outstanding movie. The only sad thing was they tried to do sequels to this & they failed. The original was funny & had great characters who will make you laugh. There is no debate needed as to whether or not to buy this movie. This is a must own for any comedy fan.
