    This book touches on almost everything about Koi!

    I do recommend this book. Having been a Koi hobbiest for the last 8 years, I still learned quite a bit about my fish! I was most interested in the diseases' Koi can get, especially living in the cold climate of Utah. If this book has a fault it would be that it has almost to much information. Don't be overwelmed when you read it. It may take some time to really understand these fish. It's a great book to read, but it will not replace good "HANDS ON" experience! I found it really hits on the good and bad of raising Koi. READ THE BOOK! And Good Luck!!

    Koi for Dummies ok for a primer...i guess.

    I am a pretty avid book buyer/reader, and I have a few books from the "...for Dummies" line, so I am not surprised to find the information in "Koi for Dummies" a bit light. I was looking for some good information, and I found some. Not a lot, mind you, but some. I also found some errors as well, including one error that contradicted some information from the previous paragraph. I can see how some errors are to be expected with the high volume of Dummies books, so I shouldn't be too harsh. So I give the book an average rating. Ok for someone trying to see if keeping koi may be worth looking into, but if you want detailed, accurate information on koi keeping keep looking. The vendor I bought the book from is EXCELLENT however, and I will look there first for any book purchases in the ...

    This is a great book for beginners. Every koi owner should have one on hand for reference when problems arise. Every chapter is packed full of information on what ever your looking for along with simple instructions to follow.
