You like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but with you not wanting to return, and requesting partial refund is NOT how we do business. Open a return if you have any issues, and we will accept. Instead, you upload a photo of all things....talk about too much time on your hands. Works as advertized, but it depends on your house wiring if it will be ok for you
I use this adapter and it took me a while to find the right circuit for it to do what I want. Once I found a plug for high speed, it works fine. A lot of my plugs in my house do not allow the adapter to reach the router or if it can, at very low speed. So it is a hit and miss. Besides this it works fine,

DST Wifi is too weak to be of any use.
Noting that this model Nighthawk router and the associated extender are a few years old now, and a bit behind the current technology curve; the DST extender, by my experience, is pretty much useless. I have three of these DST adapters and I have not been able to get any of them placed and up and running such that they provide any additional performance advantage over just connect back to the parent Nighthawk router. The DST wifi transmitter/receiver is just too weak to provide any viable stable connection back to the parent router. Noting that this model Nighthawk router and the associated extender are a few years old now, and a bit behind the current technology curve; the DST extender, by my experience, is pretty much useless. A Rare Miss From Netgear
This thing is absolutely brutal. I thought that since this was made for the Nighthawk I have it would extend the wifi at a decent speed, but it turns my 400 MB wifi connection from my router into a 4(!!!!!!!) MB connection on the extender with strong connection and no issues with distance from router. Extremely disappointed

Needs an upgrade
It gets connected to the device but it keeps disconnecting to the router. It has to be close to the router with no barriers to get better signal. Mine is just wall apart but keeps losing connection even though firmware has been updated.

Works as expected, and provided the solution I needed
I had one of these at on one end of the house connecting to my Nighthawk router, and it provides that extra connectivity that I needed. I found these on ebay at an absurdly low price, so I purchased two more: one as a spare, and one for the other side of the house to service a couple outdoor Wi-Fi cameras. Again, it provided the connectivity I needed, and it did so predictably and reliably.
