The difficulty level is based on a user's age rather than a fixed setting, allowing older and younger players to compete simultaneously. Answers are also tracked over time, allowing the game to further adjust the question pool to provide a suitable challenge. Motion-sensitive controls involve raising one's hand to answer questions, spinning a wheel, dancing, and engaging in a tug-of-war contest over correct responses. <br><br>Eight featured categories include sports, art, books, science and math, people and places, fashion, games, and entertainment. Up to four contestants can compete in two play modes: countdown and wager. The former awards the most points for the quickest answers, while the latter involves manually adjusting point values before categories by targeting the Wii Remote at plus or minus icons. Easy to play and fun for all, with a little improv.
Fun game to play with the family. It adjusts the difficulty to the age of the player. It's difficult to switch the Wii remote when sharing, however, you can improvise with one person holding the remote and other players answering the questions and doing the physical motions (waving, jumping, dancing, etc.). Not perfect, but fun and a good game for the price.

Smarty Pants is a trivia game with a few cute little twists to it. The questions range from very easy to moderately hard. It is somewhat comparable to Trivial Pursuit in terms of the variety of questions (there are eight topics: Science, Art, Books, Entertainment, People & Places, Sports, Fashion, and Games). You can play this game solo, competitively or cooperatively. What makes this game different is the "cute little twists". Do not think you will just be sitting around answering questions all day. Oh No! There is movement involved. Questions are selected by spinning a wheel. You have to use the Wii Remote to spin the wheel and you have the ability to "nudge the wheel" to land on the desired space. There are helper cards you can play that will improve your chances on ... Smarty Pants is a trivia game with a few cute little twists to it. The questions range from very easy to moderately hard. Graphics are nothing to brag about, but do you expect graphics in a trivia game anyway? The game can get a little repetitive in terms of the routine, but so far, I have not seen any repeated questions and I and/or my wife have played it via a rental about 10 to 12 times over the past 4 to 5 days. In any case, I would recommend this game for trivia buffs, especially those with active school-aged children that simply hate to just sit around. This game is appropriately rated "E" (for Everyone). Smarty Pants promotes activity and take good advantage of the Wii Remote abilities. It is easy enough for kids and the non-savvy video game player. I would recommend an average spend of $35-40 (including shipping).

My sister (who is not a video game expert by any stretch of the imagination)sent this to us as a Christmas gift. I was less than optimistic that this would be a decent game. After we played the other games we received that day(mega hit titles like Resistance: Fall of Man, Unchartered-Drake's Fortune, Guitar Hero III, Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction, and Super Mario Galaxy) we decided to at least see what this game was like. What a surprise! This is the only game of all those I listed above that my son and I actualy played together. And we had a wonderful time. The questions are great and it's well designed. It incorporates elements of classic Nintendo goofiness (like whacky minigames to set the value of a question). My son, who's 12, excelled at questions about video ... I bought Smarty Pants Wii trivis game and have played it about 3 times. It's a fun group game. I like that there's variations on how the game can be played (you can place wagers or play short games to determine pt worth of questions). I read reviews where people think the game could be better because it's not different enough but I think it's great. I didn't expect anything too outrageous just a fun trivia game with a little twist (ex: If I pick up a "that's too easy card" I can use it when an opponent beeps in faster for a question that's way too easy. Then a challenge will happen to determine whether they answer that question or get a harder one). Its a fun trivia game with enough interactivity to make it entertaining for everyone. The games ability to tailor the questions based on the ages of the players is a nice feature as well. Although the game claims to have 20,000 questions, we did find alot of repetition among the 30-something aged questions. Regardless of this, the game has proven to be alot of fun with the right players and has held up well after multiple playings. If you are looking to add some "party games" to your library, Smarty Pants is a good choice, and is even better if you can get it here at a good price.Its a fun trivia game with enough interactivity to make it entertaining for everyone.
