With 782 pieces, this set allows you to build a detailed and realistic train that is sure to impress. Released in 2001, this set is a classic and is sure to provide hours of building fun.
This train is sleek. It runs nicely on the tracks. The best part is that it does not require batteries that would constantly need replacing. It's way better than a typical model train because there's so much detail inside and one can take it apart and create a different version or make personalized modifications. Lionel can't do that. There is one down side. This set has been retired for many years. It is expensive and so is buying additional 9V track, plus motors and controllers. But it's worth it if you can afford it.
