We bought this for a clogged drain. We received it on time, it was easy to assemble and it worked beautifully. I am very happy that we purchased this as we have occasional problems with clogs. It has already paid for itself! The last time we had a clog we called our plumber and it cost us $350.00! So glad that we purchased this auger!

Drain auger
This unit requires some muscle to use. Depending on what caused the clog and how easy it clears, there can be a back lash of force on the line. The speed is not variable either which is not a plus. That being said it has the force to to the job. The frame could be heavier as the cable carrier can become off balanced and cause the the unit to shake and move around.

A rubber foot came off and the moto mount is not great because it only has the two screws holding it in place. Otherwise, I would argue this is a good, solid tool. I'll be able to modify it to solve the problems with some bigger screws. Overall, you're getting a great value here. It is heavy and it's not on wheels so storage may be a consideration. It also doesn't hurt to order more auger head choices. It traveled from West coast to east coast and the box was totally in tact.. can't say so much for the Styrofoam on the bottom. I had tree roots in my main sewer going from the house to street. The product has already paid for itself by me using this instead of a plumber. Very sturdy machine works just as described. Also used to clear out my down spout lines that run out to the street. It does have a little of weight to it (almost 75 pounds). I did not get the ones with the wheels on it.
