I had to drill a small hole in center where the door cable would slide freely because the gap where the cable goes in was so tight and held cable and latches in the open position, so the door wouldn’t latch back when shut. Was a simple fix and works great. Just pre drill hole to diameter of cable before you put your cables in the gap and shouldn’t have any issues.
