I've been using this VX3200 phone for nearly two years with Verizon pre-paid service and have no real issues to report. I travel quite a lot and it's been a consistant performer even in very rural mountain areas. It's sturdy, good-looking, well-built, and has stood up to a moderate amount of use and abuse very well. A lot better than those cheapie plastic disposable Motorola phones. The display is bright and clearly visible in everything except very bright sunlight. It has many features that are very useful, like voice dialing, which I use a lot during my travels. It's not a camera phone, but then again, I wouldn't use a camera phone to take photos with anyway. It doesn't have Internet browsing capability, but that isn't an issue for a lot of cell phone users. You can't download ringtones with it, although it does come with a lot of ringtones. So unless you can't live without all the bells and whistles,(or downloaded ringtones), this phone is a good value for the money. You can buy this same model on eBay for a fraction of what I paid for mine new. For what you can buy this phone for now on eBay, you really should consider it. This model was replaced by the LG VX3300 which I believe had some minor changes. I like it so much that I'm planning to buy another one for when we switch my wife's service from Cingular to Verizon due to very poor prepaid service with Cingular. Call for call, Cingular prepaid service is no match for Verizon and I've proven it many times.Read full review
The LG VX3200 cell phone is a very easy to use phone. It offers a lot of features including a large phone book memory, voice activated calling, calculator, tip calculator, world clock (great if you sell items outside the US and have to deal with buyers in another time zone!) and more. I have personally owned one of these phones for 2 years. It has been a very reliable phone. I found it easy to set up to my personal preferences. The one thing that is BAD about this phone is that it doesn't offer a VIBRATE only feature. If you have meetings to attend or you go into a movie and you need to shut your ringer off but still have your phone on then this may be what kills it for you. This was really the only thing I have found that I didn't like about the phone. It would be a great first cell phone. It's small, easy to hold and easy to use. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars!Read full review
Using the Verizon family plan, we have had 3 VX3200's in use for almost two years. All phones have performed admirably, and actually outperform (reception wise) many other "high end" phones when used in remote areas (read: analog service areas). All of us do wish we had front displays to make more effective use of caller ID...but opening the unit is a very minor irritant. My singular VX3200 complaint is battery life. All three phones have required new batteries at about 16 months...thank goodness for ecommerce and eBay though...instead of paying the robber barons at Verizon $39.99 per battery, I have purchased all OEM batteries for $9.99 delivered, and no sales tax! All in all, the VX3200 is an excellent value assuming one does not value geegaws such as fancy displays, cameras, and other non-essential add-ons.Read full review
Hello follow eBay members - I've had this phone for over a year and it's held up quite nicely. I replaced another LG phone-du-jour with this one and it's much better in every way. Pluses of the phone include: slim compact size, color screen (nothing fancy but works well), I love the speakerphone, long battery life and standby time, very good connection strength (I travel across the USA often), nice variety of ringtones and the alarm clock feature. Even on a busy day for me (say 20 or so incoming calls) the battery holds up well and gets me thru from 8am to 5pm. The phone doesn't have a camera or a large/fancy color display with slick animated graphics but overall I'm very happy with this LG product considering I've been a big Samsung fan for many years. If you need a basic phone to store numbers, make calls with a speakerphone and you need a color display, this little LG model is tough to beat. If Verizon still has this model available you should be able to get it for about free with contract. Thanks, travantsystemsRead full review
My VX6600 stopped working. Verizon claims I must have gotten it wet and wouldn't honor the warranty. Rather than pay full price for a new phone, I decided to shop eBay. Smart move. I got the VX3200 for somewhere around $40 and it works great. Basically the same phone as the VX6600 minus the camera, the dual display, and the online store where you can waste your money on games, ring tones, etc. The reception (tri-band), voice clarity, and battery life are great and that's all I need from a phone. I do miss the dual display. In order to screen calls, you have to turn off the option that answers the phone when you flip it open. Not a big deal. I'll use this until I renew my contract and get a new phone. Conclusion: The VX3200 is a great basic phone that performs essential phone functions very, very well. Not for someone who wants bells and whistles, or the smallest, thinnest phone. Connects and holds on to calls as well as or better than any phone I've used. These have been around a while so make sure you get one with low hours. There are a lot of these out there that are pretty beat and about used up.Read full review
I've had this phone for about a month. The phone looks great and works great. Fabulous value. My only complaint is that even though it has a vibrate feature, you cannot silence the ring and set the phone on vibrate only (like for meetings). I just have to turn it off when I cannot be disturbed. The Verizon service is great in my area so the reception is excellent. Messaging is fairly straight forward and easy to use (I text a lot!). Overall I'd say this is a great replacement phone!
I've had this phone for nearly 2 years and it hasn't been bad. It has enough features that made it a phone I could live with this long, especially since my husband didn't want to get anything fancier. Clarity of calls are pretty good for the most part. The main place I get crappy reception is in our house, my phone actually performs better than my husband's(we both have this phone) It has several features I use a lot, the scheduler, calc and the text messager. I have bought nothing but LG phones for our last 4 phones and I've pretty much liked all of them. My hubby didn't like one thign about this phone, and that is the fact it does not have a external window for time and caller id, he was hooked on that for our older LGs.
This phone is nice and sleek, fits easily in your back pocket (even with your snug jeans on) It always gave me great reception, I never had a dropped call. I wish it had the external caller id but I set all my friends & family to the ring tones the phone provides so I knew who was calling that way. You cann't download ringtones off the internet which I know somepeople like to do but that never bothered me. This phone is a great buy and it has the reliablity of the LG which most Verizon employees recomm. You would be happy with this if you don't need all the extra bells & tones!
I actually ordered this phone after seeing a family member's who had the same one. The keypad is very easy to use and so are all of the phone's features. The one thing that would have made this phone a lot better would be a front display so that you could see the time/ who is calling without opening up the phone. This phone does not have a built in camera.
I bought this cell for my mom. A friend has a 3200 and loves it! I was looking for a small, compact cell with easy, up to date features and this was it! Its perfect for my mom to tuck in a pocket or clip on her pants without the bulge! It has easy to use features & color screen. No camera but I wasn't looking for one. Really a cute, great phone! We have Verizon and she tends to lose calls more frequent than I do (I have a LG6100) but for the most part she has great reception!
