Product Information

This 230-watt replacement bulb is manufactured by Optima. This bulb comes pre-assembled in a projector lamp housing making it easy to install and swap for an existing bulb. The entire assembly is 5.7 by 4.6 by 4.5 inches and weighs just under 9 ounces. The replacement comes complete with an Osram P-VIP bulb, which is recommended for all Optoma projectors. Each bulb lasts between 3000 and 4000 hours of use, depending on the projector, so changes will ideally be few and far between. It is designed to be used with a wide range of Optoma projectors; this includes both digital light projectors and liquid crystal display models. Exercise caution when handling both the original and replacement bulbs, as fingerprints on the optics can lead to premature burnout.

    Excellent Replacement Lamp!!

    This was my first time ordering a non oem bulb for my optoma hd20 but thought for the price it would be worth giving it a try. Honestly I can't tell any difference in picture quality or brightness from the factory bulb that I had before. So all in all I would have to say this is an excellent value for the money at a fraction of the price of oem replacement bulbs which i have purchased a few of before. Very Happy and would definitely buy from again especially since shipping was about as quick as one can hope for. Thanks again!!

    Replacement

    Ordered an exact factory Osram lamp for my Optoma hd20 projector. Very easy to install but gave out a green "swampy" cast. Tried to adjust with all menu inputs to no avail. Called supplier with concerns who offered to provide a replacement bulb under warranty. It was not an Osram brand but worked perfectly. In the end I was very pleased. Would order again from this supplier. Hopefully this off brand will perform long term.

    Easy replacement of bulb

    I have had the Optoma projector for many years and with good bulb life, you still need to replace it. My old one lasted about 3000 hours. The old bulb housing pulls out and the new one goes right back in. It only took a few minutes to do this. Taking the unit off the ceiling and putting it back up took longer.

    Lamp broken under 200 hours

    Original optoma HD-20 lamp: 3000+ hours / 3 years This one: 200 hours / < 1 year Warranty requires to pay for postage which is more expensive than a new lamp. Not buying this one again! Weak light, but still lots of stray light escaping the projector after changing this into it.
