    LG DVDrw Slim External

    I've had great luck with "certified" refurbished electronic equipment from wireless rodents to DVD drives. Such is the case here. The BIG advantage of refurbished equipment is the initial cost, generally way less than half the new sales price. And more often than not there was some minor thing that needed to be fixed. I can use this drive on any device that has USB. It was especially useful on computers with no internal DVD drive for loading software from a CD/DVD, or even transferring from the CD/DVD to a USB stick. It works great. In searching for an external drive I found that this particular model will read/write everything. CD or DVD R and RW, Single and Dual layers. I recommend it.

    LG 2.0 Portable Ultraslim External CD/DVD/RW Writer

    Very good unit. Is easy to install with the included software. Have only used it to play DVDs and transfer files to my computer. Did both functions very well. If there is one irritation is every time I boot up my computer, it asks if I want to allow the LG writer to make changes to my computer.

    Great Item at a Great Price

    I am truly pleased with this external drive. I bought it since I needed a CD/DVD drive because my new Lenovo laptop did not come with an internal one. This drive is compact and light not to mention extremely easy to use. All I had to do was plug it in and Voilà! It worked immediately. I was able to open a CD-R and read the contents and open files that were on the disc. I tried to play a DVD, but initially couldn't until I loaded the software that came with it. I'm not impressed with the software at all, so I use the free VLC software program to play my DVDs at this time. This was a great deal all the way around. I am indeed a satisfied customer.

    Works great

    I do almost everything with my tablet. So when my computer died (sitting there doing nothing!), I replaced it with a cheap refurbished computer from Best Buy. Works great (for something that sits there doing nothing 95% of the time), but I didn't notice it came with DVD ROM, not DVD RW. And I sporadically burn movies for people. So I bought this external DVD RW drive. No problems. But don't bother with the DVD that comes with it. Just trying to sell you stuff. The drivers for the drive are automatically installed when you plug the drive in.
