Made easy work of the job!
Needed to remove an inner tie rod that was damaged and very inaccessible so bought this at the best price I could find on eBay from this seller. Although obviously made in china with cheap materials, I was initially very impressed with the value for money. The tool feels heavy duty and comes with a set of adaptor plates for all sizes of tie rod. The large inner diameter of the tool actually allowed me to slide the shaft over a bent tie rod which was an added bonus. As someone else has said the grub screws to hold the plate in place were fiddly to use so I made use of a friend and had them hold the plate in place while I turned a 1/2 inch breaker bar on the other end of the shaft. Success! With a hard push the tool made light work of what was once a daunting task breaking the thread with ... It does the job...!!
For the money it's great... The only thing that spoils it is putting the right size plates in and trying to do up the grub screws...!!! I just held the right plate in place, to undo and tighten up.... Time I spent trying to get things set up.... You know want, just hold in and get bar ready to do both...👍🏼 VW t4 2.5 tdi 1999!
