Pro-Mag does not enjoy the stellar rep of some others and has had reliability issues in the past. I took a chance on these and, so far, I am happy. Feeding and reliability fine in initial testing in Kimber and Springfield Armory 1911s. I'll use these for range and training. If they continue trouble free I'll upgrade to carry. That would earn another star.

They cycled good once you break them in but other than that they suck pretty bad. The fitment in the mag well is ridiculously tight and you have to rip it out of your gun, it will not just all out by pressing the mag release. Also you need you full down on the mag once it’s fully seated in the weapon or you will get malfunctions from battery failure to not being able to close your slide and any thing else that can happen with mag failures. I use it as my last mag final resort after my other 10 are used up lol seems like promag could fix these issues pretty easily as they are extremely common if you read more of the reviews. I’m hard headed and had to see for myself. Only reason it got 2 stars is because it does run well once your get it clear the slide.

The magazine doesn't fit well into my 45 caliber. I compared my original with the extended clip and noticed very slight differences in the machining that make the weapon unable to cycle the rounds if I load more that sevens rounds in it. I bought it as an extended clip but can only load the standard seven rounds without it acting up and jamming. The fit for the magazine doesn't feel right either. I would not reccomend this product as it is.

One of the two I purchased fit, not as well as the factory but fit well enough to function. The second I had to disassemble and reform. I have a half a dozen 1911s Kimbers, Springfields and Wilson Combats. So mid to upper end. The machine these are stamped on need service, I could reform the worst so it’s can be used. Honestly for a few dollars more, factory, Ed Brown and Wilson Combat are a better deal. Sorry but.......

Got them in on time, they seem good so far. Only thing I don't care for is the bottoms are loose, they're removable. I wasn't expecting that. The last one I bought was part of the Mag. 1 works smooth the other 2 are tight, but I've been told that happens sometimes. But that seems my only glitch. I can glue them down no big. I bought 3 mags and single packaging. So that was a pluss as well.

Won’t work with my colt government model Mark IV series 80 and my new sig saure 1911 with the slide won’t close. I used to have old Pro mag with no. Of bullets from no. 1-10 that’s working but this one is so tight don’t slide my upper part of my gun. Need to remove the magazine in order to slide the upper part of the gun. Get the old model with no. Of bullets that’s working.

Today I tried 60 rounds thru this mag and had several “Failures to feed” Also it is a tight fit in the lower half of my magwell.. I think the upper end maybe deformed slightly or not strong enough shape as formed to hold and feed 45 ACP ammo. Granted I tried this magazine in a new gun, not broken in yet, but I also did not have feed or mag problems with factory stock mags or other 8 round mags purchased for another gun.

Magazine is made really well and very reasonably priced. My only gripe is that the plastic grip at the bottom is not well designed. Mainly just the fit and finish. Other than that it seems to function just fine.

No problems Yet, I Havn't Used. I Disassembled & oiled Inside,Sprayed Spring, I was expecting a Metal Follower, and I Removed The Caps, I Didn't Like Them I am a Little Insecure about The Spring Base plate. They Look Good, and after Oiling , They load Smoothly. otherwise I have had No Problem.

Do not like the way the extension block works on this magazine. Doesn’t fit good, loose! Makes the magazine look cheap and not of good quality. Bad design!
