About this product

Product Information

Also known as a wheat penny, this copper coin is a 1952 one-cent piece that was created to commemorate the presidency of the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. This U.S. penny is made of 95 percent copper and 5 percent zinc and features a smooth, non-reeded edge. This copper coin was designed by Victor David Brenner, a sculptor and engraver whose career was defined by the creation of this iconic U.S. penny. The obverse (or “heads” side) of this copper coin is the design that has had the longest run in the history of the US mint. Weighing in at 0.1 oz (3.1 g), this U.S. penny measures 0.75 inches (9 mm) in diameter. This 1952 one-cent piece was part of a circulation print of 137,800,004 pieces and, thanks to its popularity and unique design, has remained a stalwart of any growing coin collection.

  • Great experience, good price, couldn't have asked for more!

It is getting harder and harder to find quality, affordable cents in the coin collection field. This was an example of a great deal and quality product. Thanks for keeping it real!

  • Nice uncirculated coin

I buy coins from several places and I find using eBay make it lot easier to get coins that are hard to find.

  • A true BU (like new from the mint) cent thats 60 years old.

The price was right for this true BU coin, no spots, finger prints etc. Will be a good trade coin for up grading my collection at a later date.
