    Great deal, great controller

    It didn't take me much time to figure things out. You for sure need to read the manual if you've never done this before (which I haven't). For beginners, just give the controller about 5-7 seconds to kick in once your lights are hooked up to it, then they'll react. Adding the DMX cables (xlr really) was an added bonus. DEFINITELY helped.

    Superb but do the math

    First of all this is a fantastic and easy to use dmx box. You may want to think seriously about what you want to accomplish though. Look at the lighting you plan (or hope) to use then figure out what controller you'll need for however many channels. An obey 40 may be a better choice for you.
