    Classic Felt Beater

    This classic felt beater plays great with a comfortable feel. I've tried the Control and XL beater along with the Air and Lightweight and heavy felt. Based on the stock 2-way, it's a bit lighter but with good punch and rebound. It plays fast and effortless. My regret is I didn't try it sooner, rather than the last one in DW' stable. The Air is too light to punch a solid 4 on the floor without added weights, the Flyweight is really not. Too heavy. No give with the plastic. The Control beaters are cool but the thin felt wears out too quickly and I haven't found where replacement discs can be bought. This beater will last a long time and it's affordable.

    Quality first.

    I have few beaters. I wasn't completely satisfied with them. This beater is perfect for jazz performing. Balance, weight, felt density is perfect. Good rebounce. I bought DW heavy beater as well, for rock music I perform sometimes.
