      Plug and Play with Linux

      Even though this model is pretty old, can still get drivers from ATI for Windows operating systems. For Linux it is plug and play, although you won't get all the features, it is still like getting a bigger amp! Much better music quality, and also much more volume! Note: I did wreck one when I plugged in a powered speaker into the wrong port on the card. Ooops. Make sure speakers are turned off when plugging in or removing. In fact, I try to remember to always turn off the speakers before shutting down the operating system/computer. Only failure over 10 years or so. Note: Some of the newer PCIe x1 models not Linux friendly.

      Useful Audio Card for averave audio system on any desktop personal computer

      If you happen to be an old user like me, who loves old working stuff, you may like this Creative Sound Blaster Live! PCI (SB0410) Sound Card. Reasons are: On a Dual Operating System running on the same PC (on different bootable drives, i.e., Windows 7 Pro & Windows XP Pro), SB0410 card can used on both OP system, and it operates well. Download or use auto update from: 'Creative Worldwide Support Live! 24-bit' http://support.creative.com/Downloads/SoftwareAutoUpdate.aspx

      Good for pc speaker system including woofer

      Great sound for the money. Perfect for use with pc speaker system including small woofer, although if you are connecting to an amplifier for media center use, I recommend something more along the lines of the Audigy 2 series or the X-FI series, both of which I can vouch for as good products.

      i use only creative labs products they are windows 8.1 Sound Blaster live

      This card is great Creative Sound Blaster Live! PCI (SB0410) Sound Card . creative does well this card is also compatible with windows 8.1 64 bit, also windows 7, windows Vista, and of course the best stable operating system I have had the pleasure to use Windows XP!! I use only creative products in building custom systems.

      It worked on my HP a6120n!

      I would have given this 4-stars due to some of the capacitors being bent, BUT the fact that it brought back sounds on my old Vista computer made me pour out another extra star from my eyes! As of August 2019, the drivers for the "Live! 24-Bit SB0410" are still up at "support creative com" and were easy enough to find and install.
