I remember my dad's pocketknife
My dad carried this knife through the 70s and 80s in his pants pocket as his, what we call now, his edc knife. He used it at work, working as a pressman to do cutting tasks, and used at home for domestic duty, like cutting ravelings from clothing and cutting coupons from the circulars. It still survives, sans lanyard bail and the once black painted handle is now bare metal. And it's blade has been sharpened down to about 3/4 of its original length over those decades...but it still locks up just fine and never failed my dad. A fine, inexpensive, tough knife. Good item, has only one design flaw
The knife arrived brand new today. A small issue came to my attention in when I tried out the knife: There is enough space beside the tip of the blade to let itt wobble when the blade is closed and pushed left or right in its place (first two picture). This causes a small scratching noise, and the tip of the blade abrades on the bottom of its case (third picture). This - in the long term, with heavy use - may cause the tip of the blade to go dull, for now it's just a little annoying. Other then this, I have a sharp and quality feeling knife. (If this issue orrurs only with my knife please send me a PM.)The knife arrived brand new today. Great blade, I really like this knife and have had one for years.
Just simply an excellent knife, I have 3. The fairly thin carbon steel blade is easy to sharpen and holds a good edge. The knife is light yet doesn't loosen up with age. You need to not let it get rusty, keep it dry and oiled but this if definitely worth the better edge that this kind of steel takes. I really like this knife, it's a bargain.
