    Tube Amp by Bogner.

It’s an awesome set... Played it for 150-200 seating venue didn’t even use half of volume. Their "tube amp" Line 6 Spider Valve MkII HD100 boasts bona fide Bogner-designed 12AX7 preamp and 6L6 power amp sections that run at lethal voltages (about 300 volts and 450 volts, respectively) to produce exceptional depth, tonal coloration and richness.

  • No Repair Parts Available!

I purchased this amp brand new in Summer 2014. It has not been played much at all and now it doesn't function at all. It needs a new PCB installed, which is relatively easy to do. But I cannot get the PCB from anywhere on the planet because they are not being manufactured any longer and it's impossible to get one, thus my amp is dead! It's done! It's 2 years old and it's finished! Conversely, my 35 year old Mesa Boogie Studio preamp has parts available. DON'T BUY THIS, OR ANY OTHER LINE 6 AMP! As you can see from the photos, pcb is from 06, but i didn't buy the amp until 14! 8 year old boards in a new amp! Pathetic!

  • Line 6 Spider Valve 212 Tube Amp

I have owned a lot of amplifiers (Fender Bassman, Laney Pro Tube, Marshall JCM 800, Carvin 50W, Tube, Vox, Tube Works, Peavy, just to name a few). I had always thought of myself as a die-hard old-school tube amp guy. Before I owned this amp, my setup was a Bassman 50W and a Laney 100W head into a custom 4"x 12" slant cab loaded with both Celestion and Jenson Speakers. This setup sounded AWESOME, but was really difficult to lug around. Recently I had the opportunity to play a couple for solid-state Line 6 amps. I was really impressed by the variety of tones, but something was missing. The tone was there, but it sounded a bit sterile, and some dynamic of tonal coloration was absent. It seemed to always make the same tones regardless of how the note was played, it just sounded a ...

  • Great sounding amp loud and versitile. Has its flaws but sounds awsome!

I’ve owned a number of Line 6 products in the past and have been just ok with them. However the Spider Valve is a different beast! I dialed in great tones in a snap. As any experienced player will tell you, it’s all in the tweaking. Good stuff here, but there are a few issues that are a bit of a bother. You have very little control of the limited effects parameters, and because the preamp’s first stage is digital you can’t truly get the tube feel and sound you would expect. It sounds great despite this. There are work arounds for both issues... BUT all in all, this is a great amp for gigs and practice... if you don’t need strengths in the above mentioned issues. If it were stolen I would buy the MKII but wouldn’t trade it for anything else.

  • Love this amp. Planning to keep for a long time.

I owned a Line 6 Vetta a few years back. I loved the flexibility but I really wanted the tube tone. With the Spider Valve, what's not to love? The Goods: It's got 4 6L6 power tubes that drive a great tone. It's got 12 amp models that let you instantly give you a great place to start from for any genre of music. It's freaking loud. I don't play metal, but I can play metal on this amp. Ha ha!! Plenty of presets to either use or base your tone off of. Built like a tank. Looks cool with the glass window in the front. The Bads (none are really that bad) Its a large head. No micro toaster head here. Just fits on top of my 4x12. It's confusing, at first, to figure out how to tame this thing. You really need a FBV Shortboard (prefer) or FBV Express to operate this amp in a gig.
