Travel back to a time of more than two hundred years ago with the 1810 Capped Bust Half Dollar, a stunning coin that is an important piece of American history. This silver-struck half dollar features an obverse side that shows Lady Liberty's profile. Her hair billows down around her shoulder, and she is wearing a cap, which is inscribed with the word 'Liberty' at its base. Thirteen stars surround her face, and the year is featured below her bust. The reverse side of this coin is magnificently detailed, and shows an eagle, its beak slightly askew and its head turned, with wings spread wide open. In his sharp talons are arrows and olive branches. A banner with the words 'E Pluribus Unum' soars over his head.
