Product Information

The squad-based shooter Codename: Outbreak brings several unique ideas to the genre, including characters with a variety of attributes, multiple uses for each weapon, and two-man teamwork. The science fiction storyline revolves around alien life forms (spores) that fall to Earth on meteors, and attach themselves to the back of a human's neck, giving the alien complete control. <br><br>The game features 12 single-player missions in which you run, jump, and shoot your way through a host of alien-infested humans, machines, and weaponry while looking for the source of contagion. Stealth and tactical decisions, as well as run-and-gun gameplay dot the day and night, indoor and outdoor missions.<br><br>You select two of six possible characters with unique strengths and attributes (speed, stamina, maximum health, and reaction time) to begin each mission, along with body armor used as protection against specific weapons. Multi-functional weapons use rotating barrels to change configuration (e.g., machine gun, sniper rifle, and shotgun).<br><br>Gameplay involves switching between characters to get them both through each level alive, using teamwork and computer AI. Codename: Outbreak supports up to 16 players in multiplayer action over a LAN or the Internet. Additionally, a cooperative mode lets you team up with another human player to fight through each level.

    CODENAME OUTBREAK

    For the price it is a good shooter game. The graphics could be better. Overall it is not too bad. I gave it a 4*.

    Excellent game

    Even if I am not vey familiar with games I was vey happy with Outbreak. Very good action and game play.
