'From the rotation of the Earth to a constellation map to an image illustrating the spring equinox, the images help this book truly stand out... Students will appreciate this book for both its simplicity and depth, and so will more than a few adults. Reach for the stars, and add this one to nonfiction collections.' - School Library Journal 'It is a clearly illustrated excellent introduction to the night sky... Beautifully coloured, clear diagrams are there for each topic and included are some stunning photographs of particular phenomena.' - New View 'It is a book to read and re-read many times and it would be an invaluable guide for anyone who wished to find out more about astronomy.' - Home Education Advisory Service Bulletin 'The production, appearance, and layout of the book are superb. Stand-alone boxes on various topics complement the main narrative and most chapters have an additional summary box.' - The Observatory magazine", 'From the rotation of the Earth to a constellation map to an image illustrating the spring equinox, the images help this book truly stand out... - c***t (921)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseThe book I bought was reasonably priced and when it arrived it was in the 'Like New' condition specified in the listing. However, when I saw that the seller had not shipped the book after more than 15 days had passed since my order I felt I must write to say that I had actually placed an order with the seller and inquire when it planned to send the book. The brusque reply was that a tracking number was available, but no number HAD been created until I pointed out that I had placed the order.Catland by Hughes, Kathryn, Like New Used, Free shipping in the US (#356798982438)
