  • Kamlara ? Buy it or forget it ?

"From the get go" it impressed me. The gorgeous blade is perfectly sharpened and comes sailing out of the handle (with a thumb hole flip) and locks up tight. The lock is new. It's on top and is like a liner lock but upside down - very easy to use. It's light. I've carried it for several days and I forget it's in my pocket - that light. To sum it up - it's an almost big, not small but not big either, knife. It worked perfectly. IT LOOKS COOL. Get one

  • Great offering from Spyderco

Top notch build quality on this one. The Taiwan factory is very good at what they do. Everything is right and seemless. Ergos are very good, comfortable to use in many grips. The Spyderco wire deep carry clip is one of the best in every way. Perfect amount of spring and give, while still allowing for secure carry. This is my first compression lock. It took some getting used to but I really like it. Allows for several different ways to engage the blade. Overall, well worth the cost. Haven't left my pocket since buying it, even though I have many other highly regarded knives in the collection.

  • Great knife

The most well made knife I've owned. Very good design that makes a good deep carry EDC. It has a great feel to it and light weight for a 3.6" blade. Compression lock is faultless and a joy to use. The look of the scales is wonderful. The value will depend on the owner. The price seemed high to me until I received it. I would pay the price again as it is an awesome knife.

  • Don't let the steel snob in you stop you from owning this gem.

Love everything about this knife except blade steel choice, but don't even dislike that about it. It has a super smooth, high end action and feel with amazing ergonomics. I did have to champer down the spydie hole a bit, but I've had to do that with a lot of my non-Golden Colorado Spyderco's. Even though I would have liked LC200N I think S30V is pretty decent and have no real problem with it when it comes to using it. It's just such a nice user knife the steel snobbery in me goes away.

  • This folder is one of Spyderco's best.

Pros: Length of blade, S30V steel, smooth and quick action, looks, deep carry wire clip, one- handed use, fit and finish, quality materials like carbon fiber, comes sharp from factory, great for EDC use, compression lock. Cons: Only thing I can really think of is cost, but it's not out of line with other fine folders.

  • Perfect for me!

Excellent EDC knife. Elegant, outstanding fit/finish, light weight, good ergos, thin slicey blade, true deep carry wire clip. Would not recommend as a hard user but is perfect for usual EDC needs. Fine for the office/gentlemans folder. Highly recommend!

  • Fantastic edc pocketknife

Somewhat atypical for Spyderco but a great design with a well designed blade. Super fidgety with multiple deployment options and a classic Spyderco compression lock. Quality control out of the Taiwan facility is superb.

  • Excellent value for the price, superb build quality, a few small quirks.

Excellent build quality, blade is thinly ground for excellent slicing. The CF handles provide a nice quality feel with good chamferring which makes the whole knife fit very comfortable in hand. The blade to handle ratio is very good and the cutting edge is nearly the whole length of the blade! Excellent wire clip which is reversible. For the price, this is a very well rounded and very desirable EDC. The action is not free-swinging like a PM2 and even with break-in may not be quite the same. With a lot of flick and holding the compression bar you can get it just about closed. Might improvce in time. The compression lock cutout is shallower than some like a PM2, so closing this repeatedly more than 5-10 times and the tip of your finger starts to get very sore. Not as much of a fiddly knife.

  • Spyderco Kapara...YES!!!

The Kapara is a great EDC knife and performs well in the kitchen. Used it on an apple this evening and the apple never knew what hit it 😂. It's razor sharp from the factory and the fit and finish are grade A. The only fly in the ointment is the carbon fiber scales. Although they are finished quite beautifully, they are rather slick in the hand. It's not a deal breaker but a bit of a textured finish, perhaps like micarta has, would really be nice. This Kapara is not the CQI version and when it arrived, it's action was somewhat stiff. After disassembling it, cleaning the innards, polishing the washers and lubing with nano oil, the action is pretty sweet. Maybe not quite as nice as the CQI version, but plenty nice enough for me. It's now a great fidget toy and the more I fidget with it, the smoother and slicker the action seems to get. If your thinking about getting a Kapara, go ahead and pull the trigger on one. If you do you'll be a happy camper.

  • One of Taichung's best!

Slim, elegant and beautifully made. The Kapara fits well in the pocket and even better in the hand. Spyderco's legendary design innovations and ergonomics make this knife a must own. Taichung rivals and maybe even surpasses Golden for fit and finish.
