    Sweet memory

    Samsung and Hynix are the two brands to go when it comes to ECC memory . they are fast and reliable and run flawlessly. in my case I already had 6GB of the same memory in my HP workstation and then I bought 6GBs more for $20. they are much cheaper than regular DDR3 memory since they're server memories but they perform just as good (if not better) and cost much less. plus if you're using a compatible technology (like LGA 1366 series motherboards) then you can line up these babies in triple channel mode which gives you more bandwidth compared to the traditional dual channel mode used in desktops. way to go !

    This is some old RAM of the ECC variety for my Xeon build

    IT works OK. I use Task Manager to tell me it rarely exceeds 3GB. I do not know if it is a triple channel RAM kit even [ such as the 990X set ups]. Anyway it will not work in the usual Core i7 rigs.
