    Good product

    The oil cutoff solenoid is easy to install between the oil pump output and oil gun input. You will need one (possibly two) copper pipes with female fittings on both ends. I mounted the solenoid directly to my burner housing (there was an available knockout) with a steel conduit fittings. This holds it securely in place and allows for use of the flexible copper input and output piping. It provides approximately 8 sec oil flow delay on burner startup. Shuts off oil flow quickly when burner stops. Benefit is smoother (quieter) startup and shutdown. For oil pumps with failed or marginal mechanical cutoff valves, it will help to prevent sooty after-burn in the chambrer caused by dripping oil as the motor winds down on shut off.
