    Very good calcultator, but ...

    I have been an unconditional fan of HP RPN calculators, own an HP15C, HP33E, HP48GX, I am still using the 15C and 48GX, and now the HP Prime. The build quality of the Prime is ok, definitely not the same has it used to be. Keyboard : typical of HP calculators, +++ Display : Nice display, modern +++ Body : Can feel sharp edges when holding in hand --- Pros : fast, nice keyboard Cons: keyboard not as complete has it used to be, hate to go to menus for 'swap', 'factorial' etc.. RPL is a thing of the past, so it seems. Overall a very good calculator, but I think the 48GX was the pinnacle of RPN (RPL) calculators from HP. ... a good calculator because there is nothing better on the market right now. Gone are the good old days of HP calcs...

    HP Prime II is the one

    Loved my HP 48g for many years. From high school through college to becoming an established Professional Engineer. Was heartbroken when it died at almost 30. Tried an HP 50g. The better speed was nice, but basically it was just a warmed over 48g in a new skin, but different. Hated it. It died within a year. Resolved never to love again. Found a 48g emulator for my iPad. Lived with that for a few years. It was ok, but slow and difficult to switch back and forth between that and other apps I was using. I finally decided to see what the latest HP had to offer was. Wow! Prime II is everything I hoped and dreamed! All the power I need and then some. Much better ease of use. Very pleased!

    Absolute beast of a calculator and one of the few left that RPN aficionados like me can obtain. My kids love them (I have them hooked on RPN) and while they can't be used for every exam due to the advanced functionality (looking at you, ACT), they are just a joy to use and extremely fast & powerful. Get them while you can!
