The 2011 edition of Dangerous Hunts challenges players to conquer the world's most ferocious predators, using only their wits, their knowledge of the wilderness, and a selection of Cabela's top-quality outdoor gear. As in earlier versions of the game, the situations are more extreme than in other Cabela's hunting titles, as players find themselves in desperate kill-or-be-killed situations designed to test the skills, mettle, and luck of any would-be outdoorsman. In the game's Story Mode, players take the role of Cole Rainsford, who travels to Africa to hunt animals that have been attacking people in remote villages. Players face off against unnaturally aggressive wolves, bears, lions, crocodiles, and other dangerous beasts, in tense, first-person shooter battles. Dangerous Hunts also features a "Shooting Gallery" mode, with a number of multiplayer options. The console game is specially designed for play with the Top Shot Elite -- sold separately -- which converts the Wii Remote and Nunchuk into a gun controller, designed to convey the feel of an authentic hunting rifle.

    Great Shootiing Game Options

    The Cabela's Dangerous Hunts includes the Wii game and the plastic gun that holds the Wii controller and numchuck to control aim and shooting at targets. There are gallery and hunt shooting options and I found the gallery easier to practice and use even for young children. A fun game for one or more players!

    Actually, I really like a few of the Cabella's titles

    I haven't played a lot of the "Story Mode" portion yet, but my girlfriend and I have played the ample arcade shooter like "Galleries" sections for hours. You can open up a ton of them by doing well in previous sections both in the "Galleries" section as well as "Story Mode" We got our copy of D.H. 2011 and Cabella's African Adventures both for under $10 each and they were well worth it!
