I plugged this into my usb 3.0 port, installed the software that was included (literally 2 clicks) and was able to connect to my downstairs wifi at 51mbps down and 11mbps up. Great deal!! To access a 5g network though, you need to manually configure the settings... which shouldn't be hard for most.
