OK if you have goldfinches in your yard!

Works as it says!
First time finch feeder and I had heard of "stealer" birds. Second day after filling if with seed I saw sparrows trying to figure out how to get the seed to no avail, later that day...upside down finches feeding away! Give the early birds a break

I love the darling goldfinches that take advantage of this upside down feeder! Sparrows cannot hog all the food. Some spiteful sparrows try to drive the goldfinches away, even though they themselves can't get the hang of upside down feeding. Ultimately, they give up and my darlings can feed in peace. I have owned this product before. It is of really good quality for the price. Because it feeds the finches upside down, no other birds can get to it. If it lasts like my previous feeders of the same type, it should last 2-3 years.
