Fair tip-up, now made in china, needs improvements..
For starters the "picture" is of the original tip-up made in the USA. What I received was a different tip-up made in china. The difference's are the flag shaft is not stainless steel. The flag slides too easily on the shaft ( flag could slip down when upright). The main shaft now has to slide up and down, down to use the tip-up and back up to store it. This shaft is very hard to slide and nearly broke the tip-up trying. Now do this when its 10 degrees out. I will have to put some lube on it so it slides better. The black release spinner is just threaded on so will expect it to thread off eventually. I will probably put a dab of RTV on the threads. I wish they would change this release to the metal style with a grove on one side. Been an ice fisherman for 40 years. They do slow down hole freez-up. Room for improvement but for $20 a fair tip-up..
