      Great upgrade from the Baratza Encore

      The $100 step between a new Encore and a ~$250 new Virtuoso is too steep for me given the improvements that you get, but the ebay 'discount" on ones that are used or open box solved that for me. Witht the price point having been addressed, I really appreciate the upgrades on the Virtuoso. The improved burr set grinds faster, a touch finer and a little cleaner (less fines, more accurate). I particularly like the adjustable grind timer (once set to your desired duration, just press the button and walk away). The Virtuoso start (& adjust) button/knob is easier to access than the on/off switch on the Encore. The overall finish is also improved, with an attractive led lit collection bin and some of the plastic body replaced with stainless steel. Overall, i really enjoy my ...

      Best moderate prices coffee grinder

      I had the Ode and sent it back to get this. A lot less money and an all-around better grinder for my use. I like that I can grind enough coffee for a big pot (like a Chemex). I also like the backlight in the bin. Can’t beat the Baratza warranty, either.

      Well made, high quality coffee grinder.

      Very nice entry level grinder. Very good quality, and grinds coffee well. The time is much appreciated over the simple on/off of the Encore, and the better grind is worth the premium over the Encore as well.

      Excellent grinder for precisely grinding. I use it for espresso. Best grinder you can buy in this price range. This is my second Baratza Virtuoso and it keeps getting better.
