The CPU can reach an overclocking speed of 3.9 GHz once max turbo has been engaged. At these speeds, your system can process information, open up additional programs, and interpret data seamlessly. With the hexa core processor able to operate this quickly, you won't need to worry about your system freezing or lagging behind. It has a thermal design power rating of 95W on average at peak performance, and it runs approximately 156W, and 75W when idle. Also, it can operate up to 70 degrees Celsius, so a separate cooling system is not necessary. There are three levels of cache memory available. The L1 gives you 288KB of memory, while the total L2 is 6MB. The 8MB of L3 cache memory will allow you to achieve fast recall for the programs you access most frequently. This processor offers 64-bit computing, which will allow you to install and use more RAM. It supports DDR3 1866 RAM and has a built-in memory controller. Depending on the amount of RAM you install, it can reach a bandwidth of up to 29,866.66 MB/s. It also supports ECC and dual channels. The compatible processor socket for this CPU is a Socket AM3 and will fit in any AM3+ motherboards.
